Hatha

I have a question for you.

Say you’re on a beach at low tide, retrieving Princess Fur (who is eating something she shouldn’t, like THAT never happens!), when an Australian Shepard dog races past, followed by a Collie. An angry elephant and a hippo with a big, sharp horn are pounding down the beach, close on their heels (do hippos even have horns? well, this one did). The hippo and elephant turn and charge you. You’re frozen in place, terrified, and Princess Fur is trying to scramble out of your arms so she can continue noshing whatever it was she was eating on the sand.

What do you do?

Well, it happened to me!! And this is what I did: I woke up. *phew*

Then I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I washed the dishes, cuddled the dog, cleaned the kitchen, and read a book and finally, around 4 a.m., I managed to drift off. I woke up at 9 a.m. and my Lady’s Holiday slammed into me like a Mac truck. Pure misery for the rest of the day.

No wonder I was having nightmares!

I did some very light Hatha for about 20 minutes this afternoon. I’m reserving my remaining energies for getting through the day, including the 3 back-to-back classes I’m teaching in the evening. On minimal sleep. While feeling ‘under the weather.’

Good times.

as my sister says, "and what's good about this...?" something will turn up in it all to bring you back to your breath and that open space. it doesn't just go away.

Duuuuuuuuuude. Our cycles are syncing. All the way through cyberspace! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well... my LH came SUPER late on the 7th (technically the wee hours of 8th Oct). Which is kind of in line with the New Moon too. Didn't all cave-women back in the day all have their LH's on the same day - during the New Moon? I'm getting into Woo-Woo! territory here. And this is probably gonna be TMI but here goes... I got off the pill a few months ago (I know I know, it's so bad for you)... And I guess my cycle's trying to find its regular self back. One month was early, one month was late, and this month it's found itself on the New Moon. I wonder if it will continue to follow the moon cycle too, coz that's kinda cool!
(For some reason, I feel more comfy talking about this on YOUR blog than MINE! HAHAHA! I guess too many people I know personally read my blog and it would be kinda WEIRD saying what I've just said there. HAHAHA).

Oops. Sorry for the marathon comment. ;)

Hilarious! I need to email you with a funny story (it's way too personal to put on this blog, maybe I should leave it in YOUR comments!) :-D
